My name is Jana Beck. I am a 39 year old wife and mother who also works part time as a library and classroom aid for my children’s school. During a dress up day intended for school spirit, I came as “Library Girl”. I borrowed my younger son’s red cape and half mask. I donned my tall black boots and denim skirt and Library Girl was born. I carried a bag with baby wipes inside and a sign on the outside speaking to my motto: Protecting the world’s books from theft, neglect, and generally dirty hands.
This character really has very little to do with my day to day life. That’s probably why I chose to give the name to my blog. I thought it might sound more mysterious than “Mother of two boys with dirty house and no idea what is for dinner.” We’ll see if the title sticks.
I have been married to Richard for 17 years and have been a mother for 11. In my former life I was a high school drama teacher. I still enjoy helping with church and school productions. I am totally in love with my husband and having the opportunity to be a source of energy and joy to my family. Photography is a fun hobby for me, especially since I love to celebrate moments—-ordinary and extraordinary. I love to laugh and tell stories and make others feel special and wanted. I intend for this blog to help me celebrate my life and share it with those I love who may be far away—or near by.
God has blessed me far more richly than I deserve. May the words I write be an exercise in expressing gratitude for the moment I am in.
Hey, looks like you have a great family!! Very neat blog. My sis went to Abilene so I asked her to search you for me. No I am not a stalker, just wondering how your life is going. God Bless Russ..
